Career

Kyd started his career in the early 90s. For some time, he was involved in the demo scene and was a member of Silents DK demogroup. Some of the earliest titles he worked on were U.S.S. John Young, Pro Moves Soccer and Sub-Terrania. The latter was developed by Zyrinx in which he was one of the founding members. Throughout his career, Kyd has been working on numerous high-budget titles. Some of his most notable soundtracks are for Assasin’s Creed, Hitman, Borderlands, and Warhammer: Vermintide series.

Style

Jesper Kyd is known for his versatility. In his works, the composer uses a full orchestra, choir, electronic music, ethnic percussion and takes elements from various music genres and styles from contemporary classic to techno. Kyd takes influences from various musicians: from classical music composers like Respighi and Stravinsky to electronic musicians like Röysopp and The Knife as well rock musicians such as Pink Floyd.
