Peter McConnell is an American video game composer

Career

McConnell’s career in the video game industry began in the early 90s when he Michal Z. Land, who at the time was one of the main composers in LucasArts. The first project McConnell took part in was Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, a sequel to 1990 point-and-click adventure The Secret of Monkey Island. Since that, he has written scores for numerous LucasArts’ classics such as Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, Escape from Monkey Island. He is also notable for working on the soundtracks for various Star Wars games and co-creating iMUSE interactive music system with Michael Land mentioned above. The system was used to synchronize the background music with the on-screen action. After 2004 he started working for various other game companies aside from LucasArts. McConnel has been writing all the soundtracks for every Sly Cooper game since the second installment. One of his most well-known recent works is a soundtrack for Blizzard’s Hearthstone.
