Emil Pagliarulo is a lead game designer with American origin. He worked in Looking Glass Studios and currently is employed in Bethesda Softworks. Emil went out of Looking Glass simultaneously with its defunct in 2000. Two years later — in 2002 — he entered Bethesda.

Games

While still in Looking Glass Studios he was the lead designer for Thief — the first title in a stealth-oriented series. He also worked on several projects in development such as Ultima Underworld and System Shock, with the latter being received as a cult video game. In Bethesda, his attention was focused on The Elder Scrolls series as he is known as the lead game designer of Bloodmoon, Oblivion and Skyrim being the third, fourth and the fifth parts of the series correspondingly. Emil also led the Fallout series.

Style

Pagliarulo's works are united with precision and attention paid to the details as all games under his leadership bear a vast and unique open world, filled with points of interest.

Todd Howard is an American video game designer, producer, and director best known for his work with Bethesda Game Studios.

Games

Howard started his career at Bethesda Softworks in 1994. Aside from two of the earliest games he worked on, Howard’s career revolves around two franchises: Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. Since 1996 title The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, he was involved in every mainline entry in the series. He directed 2011 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which became the best-selling game in the franchise and one of the best-received RPGs of its generation. Other games he directed include are Fallout 3, Fallout 4 and Fallout 76.

In popular culture

Aside from game development, Todd Howard is known for his frequent interviews where he describes upcoming and already released games or talks about the industry and his own experience in it. Being one of the main speakers of Bethesda, he became associated with the company itself and an object of both praise and criticism for the games he represented.

Jared Emerson-Johnson is an American video game music composer, sound designer, voice actor and a lead composer in Bay Area Sound.

Career

Emerson-Johnson has been working in the video game industry since the early 00s. The first project he participated in was 2003 action-adventure game Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb in which he was an assistant to Clint Bajakian. The first game in which he was credited as a composer was The Bard’s Tale released in 2004. Jared is most known for writing music for Telltale Games. He was the main composer for all three seasons of Telltale’s Sam & Max. In 2012 his soundtrack for Star Wars: The Old Republic was awarded as the best soundtrack album of the year by Game Audio Network Guild Awards.

Style

In his works, Jared Emerson-Johnson incorporates elements of classical and jazz music and mixes them with various genres based on the setting of the game. The composers himself plays various instruments such as violin, guitar, keyboards, and mandolin.
